Create a Virtual Institution With LOC Global
This partnership program is appropriate
for business and engineering institutions that wish to
educate their student
communities on the field of logistics, explore some of the most inventive
solutions ever devised for supply chain problems, enhance the employability of
their students, and
drive their research
into the marketplace.
To become a LOC University™
partner,
an institution must meet the following minimum requirements within its
first year of membership:

The annual fee
covers
professional and technical services, technology fees, training, support
and materials. Please see the benefits section below to review specifics of what
this includes. A
LOC Academic Partner™
will receive a renewal notice and will have the option to renew the partnership;
otherwise, the extranet and services will expire after one year. Pricing subject
to change.

Contracts

Once approved,
applicants will receive several contracts to sign. Four (4) signed original
contracts, along with full payment, must be received prior to LOC Global
countersigning. Once LOC Global countersigns, a new
LOC University™
partner will receive email notification. At this point, partners will have access to
training, extranet and services.

Dedicated Manager

The academic
institution must designate a point person to be the dedicated partnership
manager who represents the school in its academic partnership with LOC Global.
This would ideally be the person who participates in LOC Global training and is
dedicated to extranet administration throughout the academic partnership. This
person is someone who coordinates with the school's legal department as
appropriate. This is a partial, ongoing responsibility although not a full-time
role for the designated individual.

Internship Program

LOC Global
conducts a quarterly (16 week) internship program for students seeking
on-the-job experience. The program is designed to mentor students through teams
of transportation, procurement, operations and regional experts. Students
accepted into the program may choose one of two paths:

Join a
near-term problem
solving team to address immediate logistics concerns, for a specific region.

Join a
long-term planning team that collects and analyzes operations-related
information, and constructs plans to address the contingencies presented to
them.

LOC Academic Partner™

can be used on packaging, collateral materials,

and other promotional media to quickly communicate the nature of their LOC
relationship and to distinguish itself from other academic institutions.
Authorized use must conform to the LOC Logo Guidelines. A
LOC Academic Partner™
is expressly prohibited from using the standard

partner
who wishes to
issue a press release that includes any information pertaining to their alliance
with LOC Global must have the proposed press release formally reviewed and
approved in writing by LOC Global in advance. In drafting press releases, all
partners should contact LOC Global for
detailed information on the process and content of
partner press releases.

a variety of marketing collateral and forums to communicate with prospects and
customers, including customer success stories, press releases, technical
research briefs and solution data sheets. LOC partners may be featured in these
collateral pieces.

The LOC Validation Program™
has been set up to verify business and engineering solutions
and drive them into the marketplace by confirming their
technical, marketing, and sales readiness. Technical readiness
is assured through validation testing and the completion of a
technical research brief. Marketing and sales readiness is
promoted through joint publication of a data sheet explaining
the solution’s business value. As LOC Global continues to grow
it actively showcases validated solutions and their sponsoring
institutions through a host of promotional programs.
