Professor Stock holds BS and MBA degrees from the University of Miami (Florida),
and a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University. From 1975 to 1980, Dr. Stock was an
Assistant Professor of Marketing in the College of Business Administration at
the University of Notre Dame. From 1980 to 1987, he was an Associate Professor
in the Division of Marketing at the University of Oklahoma. During the period
1986-1988, Dr. Stock held the position of Distinguished Visiting Professor of
Logistics Management, School of Systems and Logistics, at the Air Force
Institute of Technology, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. From 1987 to 1989, he was on
the faculty of Michigan State University as Professor of Marketing and Logistics
in the Department of Marketing and Transportation Administration. In 1989, Dr.
Stock assumed his present position as Professor of Marketing and Logistics,
Department of Marketing, College of Business Administration, University of South
Florida, Tampa. Dr. Stock has been the recipient of a University of South
Florida Teaching Incentive Program Award for outstanding undergraduate teaching
and has received the Outstanding Professor Award from the Graduate Business
Association of the College of Business Administration multiple times in
recognition of excellence in graduate teaching. He has been an invited speaker
on numerous business and professional programs and has lectured at a number of
colleges and universities in Australia, Denmark, Republic of Georgia, Norway,
North America, Sweden, and South Africa.
Dr. Stock has published in numerous academic and professional journals. He is
the author or co-author of over ninety publications including books, monographs,
articles and proceedings papers. He currently serves as Editor of the
International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management. Dr.
Stock is a member of the editorial review boards of several international
journals in the areas of marketing, logistics and quality management. Formerly,
he served as the Managing Editor of the Logistics Spectrum. Professor Stock is
co-author of Strategic Logistics Management, 3rd ed., and Fundamentals of
Logistics Management, 1st ed. He is also the author of Development and
Implementation of Reverse Logistics Programs and Reverse Logistics published by
the Council of Logistics Management. In 1988, Dr. Stock received the Armitage
Medal from the Society of Logistics Engineers in recognition of his scholarly
contributions to the logistics discipline.
He is active in Christian Leadership Ministries, Council of Logistics
Management, Society of Logistics Engineers, and the Warehousing Education and
Research Council. He has consulted for a number of manufacturing and service
companies in the US and South Africa, as well as the US Air Force. His areas of
interest include strategic logistics, reverse logistics, and the
marketing/logistics interface.. |
