Graham Sharman is currently a
professor at the Technical University of Eindhoven, focusing on international
value-added logistics and supply chain management. In addition, he is a
supervisory board member of Draka NV, an international wire and cable maker, and
of Richter Systems, a privately-held provider of packaged software for
retailers.
During the majority of his career, he was a
Partner of McKinsey & Company. Throughout his time with McKinsey, Graham
concentrated on investigations in the areas of business strategy and operations
effectiveness, including the area of supply chain management. In 1982, he was
appointed to head the Firm's practice development center for supply chain
management. During his 26 years with McKinsey & Company he served clients from
the Firm’s offices in Toronto, New York, Amsterdam, and Dallas.
From 1995 to 1998, he was a member of the
supervisory board of the Baan Company, a provider of ERP packaged software to
manufacturing and distributing companies. Also in 1995, Graham Sharman was
awarded the National logistics prize for personal contributions by the Dutch
Association for Logistics Management. He currently serves on the jury of the
Dutch corporate prize for excellence in logistics management. He is a board
member of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands.
Graham studied Mechanical Engineering at Oxford
University and Chemical Engineering at Imperial College, London University. He
has a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Harvard University. Before
joining McKinsey & Company, Inc., he was a Project Engineer with Air Products
Ltd. in London, and a Project Manager with the Bechtel Corporation in New York. |
