Once I choose a speaker, what’s next? How does LOC Global
support me once the choice has been made?
- The
Request... First, you
fill out our
online
request form for a specific speaker
or for general assistance.
A LOC Global representative will then walk you through the
process for your event.
- The Confirmation... Once a speaker is agreed
upon, we will send to you a Confirmation Sheet. The
Confirmation Sheet will include specific details such as the
event sponsor, date, fee, location and any other relevant
information. Signing and faxing the Confirmation Sheet back to
LOC Global verifies your interest in the speaker and grants
LOC Global permission to present a firm offer to the speaker
on your behalf.
- The Offer... After an authorized confirmation is
received by LOC Global, we will submit a Firm Offer to the
speaker on your behalf. The speaker will then review the terms
of the offer. If the speaker is available on the requested
date(s) and all other terms are acceptable, the signed offer
will be returned to LOC Global and we will move forward in the
process.
- The Contract... Upon acceptance of the offer,
your representative will issue the necessary paperwork to your
organization. This paperwork includes the Contract for the
engagement, publicity materials, invoices and instructions for
utilizing our the
LOC Extranet™. A 50% deposit will be required, with the balance due just
before the appearance, and speaker expenses billed afterward.
In the event of a cancellation by your organization, the
deposit will be forfeited. If a cancellation occurs within 60
days of the event date, the entire fee and any
already-incurred travel/preparation expenses will be due.
- The
LOC Extranet™...
One of the tools we use to ensure good communication between
you, your speaker and our staff is the LOC Extranet™.
This Web-based collaboration tool profiles all the technical
and logistical aspects of your event and allows you to outline
the desired objectives for your event. You, your speaker and
your event coordinator will be able to input information and
check for updates at any time you choose.
- The Event Advance Sheet... The final output of
the LOC Extranet™ is the Event Advance Sheet (EAS). It will serve as the final
itinerary for your event, including information regarding
hotel arrangements, flights, schedule of events, information
on your organization and any other vital details. This also
includes phone numbers to reach all parties should the need
arise to discuss any last minute issues.
What is your recovery plan in the event of a problem?
We are as committed to the success of your program as you
are. As a result, no matter what the problem might be—weather,
changes in travel schedules, airport delays, on-site problems,
etc.—we
bring all of our resources and expertise to bear on immediately,
completely and efficiently resolving the problem.
Will I be able to communicate directly with the speaker
prior to my event?
Many of our speakers are available to speak with you
directly
—both
prior to your choosing them as your speaker as well as after the
selection has been made. In all instances, we will work with you
to best plan and communicate your program needs to the speaker.
Do I have to arrange travel for the speaker?
LOC Global has a dedicated, highly experienced staff of
Event Coordinators who make travel plans and advise you of the
arrangements, and who will work with you on logistics.

BILLING INFORMATION
What is the cost of the LOC University™ Speaker Program?
Our clients are never billed for our services; you pay only
your speaker's honorarium and expenses. Everything we do to
ensure the success of your event, from start to finish—contracting
the speaker, coordinating schedules, making travel arrangements,
doing all the preparatory legwork and much more—is
free of charge. Instead, it is the speakers we represent who pay
our fees.
How much do speakers cost?
Speaker fees typically start at $5,000. In most all cases
expenses are in addition to the fee. Additional expenses can
include 1st class airfare, hotel accommodations, ground
transportation, meals, and any out-of-pocket expenses.
International travel and presentations generally carry an
incremental increase in cost.
Does it cost more for a longer presentation?
Generally, yes. Speakers set their own fees—so
there is no real rule-of-thumb. Some speakers will charge a base
fee for 1 hour talks, which increases for half and full days.
Others will charge the same whether it’s an hour or all day
seminar.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Can you help me secure books written by a speaker?
We guide you to the most cost-efficient source for securing
books authored by our speakers. To insure that you receive the
lowest possible price we put you in direct contact with
publishers and book providers, who can fulfill your order,
typically at a discount.
Will the speaker sign books and give autographs or be
available for a VIP photo session?
Special requests and arrangements are possible and can be
discussed and handled prior to the speaker’s presentation with
your LOC Global representative.
