LOC Global - Transportation Solutions

Overview

A Logistics Operations Center / Class 2, or LOC2™ for short, is a long-term planning team to collect and analyze operations-related information provided by the LOC1 and other sources, and construct plans to address the contingencies presented to them.

The job of this think tank is to face facts, and confront you when they think you are moving in the wrong direction on something. Likewise, they prepare for you to go after their assumptions with equal candor and vigor.

The LOC2™ takes over the task of asking the question, "What will we do if..." Each morning they present a detailed plan showing proposed movements of goods to stave off problems. This scenario is updated continually, from hour to hour if necessary, as pertinent information becomes available. Staying absolutely current is a constant priority, because the team might well have to answer this question in earnest.

Using the most up-to-date information developed by the LOC1™, and keying off of a scenario outlined by you, the LOC2™ logisticians formulate contingency plans. They also maintain the LOC Extranet™, a centralized knowledge base to summarize all pertinent logistical information in the region. The LOC Extranet™ serves as a bible of current capability, as well as a comprehensive historical record of a specific region's logistics.

Members of LOC1™ and LOC2™ update the LOC Extranet™ as soon as new information becomes available. It becomes your companion, to keep you current on the dynamic and constantly evolving operations in a specific region.
